PCA Mentee, PCA Certificate Holder

A graduate of Neil Pearson's 300 hour Professional Mentorship, I am passionate about providing client-centred care for individuals living with persistent pain. Together, we create customized programs which include pain care education and various aspects of yoga such as slow, mindful movement, targeted breathing exercises and specific meditation techniques to address your unique needs and concerns.

A Certificate Holder in Teaching Groups, I create Pain Care Aware group yoga classes designed to help participants work effectively with physical and mental discomfort and pain, promoting self efficacy through discernment and encouraging exploration of various awareness and self regulation techniques.

A dedicated lifelong student and yoga practitioner for over two decades, I left the corporate world after 24 years in management and re-oriented my career to pursue interests in health and wellness. My personal lived experience of how yoga practices can help ground, embody and successfully counter the negative effects of stress and pain, thereby promoting physical and mental health and well-being, naturally lead me to Pain Care Yoga. The scientific, evidence-based exploration provided by Neil’s ten-month Pain Care Mentorship highlighted the important role that our nervous systems play in pain and has opened a world of treatment options for myself and my clients.

Students are encouraged to first and foremost become aware, to breathe consciously and move mindfully. They are reminded to be self-compassionate and to seek balance. Ultimately, for me, health and well-being centers around re-embodiment into our physical selves and re-establishing a rapport between body and mind, so that we can safely BE in an open, caring, accepting and connected relationship with ourselves and others.
