PCA Scholarship program provides financial assistance to individuals from communities who have been systemically oppressed and excluded from academic opportunities. We are also looking for candidates who seek to bring Pain Care Aware philosophy and principles into settings that provide pain care education to underserved and unserved populations. This scholarship may cover partial or full tuition.
Eligibility:
While this scholarship program is open to all who wish to apply, priority will be given to those who themselves are a part of or would like to work with historically marginalized communities such as Black, Native/Indigenous, People of Color and LGBTQI+
- Applicant has shown determination for changing pain in marginalized, unserved and underserved communities.
- Applicant has shown a dedication to the practice and teachings of yoga as an agent for change.
- Applicant has shown a dedication to understanding pain education and how it can be applied through yoga.
- Applicant has shown a dedication to working to change pain within underserved communities including BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and/or other marginalized communities.
- Applicant has a capacity to serve in communities such as Health Institutions or Incarceration facilities.
