Lisa has been a yoga teacher, E-RYT500 and yoga therapist, C-IAYT, for nearly three decades. After completing Yoga Seminary In 2009 Lisa was ordained Swami Swarupananda, in the Kriya Yoga lineage by Sri Goswami Kriyananda. Swami Lisa offers personal guidance and mentorships in Pain Care Yoga Therapy and Kriya Yoga.
Lisa is the Co-Director and Lead Trainer of Pain Care Aware.
Neil Pearson
Neil is a physiotherapist, Clinical Assistant Professor and faculty member for international yoga training programs. He is the recipient of Canadian awards in pain education, and physiotherapy pain management.
Neil is the founding Chair of the Canadian Physiotherapy Pain Science Division, developer of an online pain self-care curriculum (Pain Care for Life), and author of a chapter on ‘Yoga’ in Integrative Pain Management(2016), the patient education book Understand Pain Live Well Again(2008), and Pain Care Yoga dvds.
Neil is the Founder of PainCareU and Co-Director of Pain Care Aware.
Pain Care Aware offers certification programs and online trainings for yoga teachers and yoga therapists, as well as healthcare and fitness professionals that are working with people in pain.
