Dana, a retired physical therapist and lifelong student, is always seeking to expand her experience, knowledge and skills to be of service to life, healing and wholeness. Her studies beyond her physical therapy training include 500hr YTT, a Certificate in Applied Spiritual Counselling, completion of the 2 year Living School Program, Trauma Informed Yoga, Yin Yoga, Certificates in Pain Care Aware, Pain Care Yoga and in Advanced Pain Care Yoga and has completed the 360 hour Pain Science mentorship with Neil. She is also an addiction recovery coach, a SMART Recovery Facilitator and works within the local recovery community.
Dana, someone who has lived with persistent pain since she was 15 years old, is passionate about sharing the revolutionary nature of this field of care with individuals one on one and in groups. She offers weekly Pain Care yoga classes, Pain Science Education Seminars along with teaches yin, flow, meditation classes and spiritual practices workshops in the community. She also loves to share her knowledge of anatomy with her students and fellow yoga teachers.
Dana is amazed at how everything in her life has brought her to this place in time. Being a PCA trainer is the cumulation of all the lessons she has learned professionally and personally - the junction of physical therapy, yoga, trauma healing and recovery - truly a web she could not have weaved if she tried.
Inspired by Swami Lisa and Neil, Dana aspires to be a messenger of hope, compassion, and love.
